Maddie was a life force but a sweet, gentle, gorgeous baby girl. I always wished I had a third of her energy … she loved playing soccer, running outside, and mostly her walks. The beach was her favorite though. She’d run down the beach and chase the birds into the water then bark at them till they flew away. Unfortunately, Maddie had been diagnosed with cancer at 9 months old and except for some daily medications was fairly healthy until last spring. We lost her in July at only 8 years old. It just seemed like she had so much more life to live.
