Research Studies @ MUSC

I participated in several research studies in Charleston at MUSC (Medical University of South Carolina) within the first year and a half or so after The Stroke. They would last for several weeks at a time, three times a week. I would stay in a hotel during that time, as Charleston is about two hours away from Savannah.

At this time, I am not sure if I am actually able to share much about the studies … is that a thing? I don’t recall. Once they are published, I will add to this post and link to each study. For now I think it’s OK to see some pictures!

Mostly though I wanted to say that, if you have the opportunity to participate in any research studies, I highly suggest it … not only will you be helping to find better treatments, but you may be getting some cash and some free therapy as well. You must certainly will learn something!

Find studies near you at clinicaltrials.gov. OR you can call if you happen to have a research hospital near you, or ask your neurologist. Anything that might help, either you or someone else, why not do it?
